“Three Graces” by Niki de Saint Phalle
Garfield Park Conservatory, ChicagoI saw these sculptures (or as the artist calls them “Nanas”) along with other ones from the same artist in DC back in 2010. I still love looking at them, they were part of an outside sculpture project in the middle of New York Avenue for the National Museum of Women in the Arts.
Seeing these big fat active joyful bodies was such an amazing experience. I even have the yellow nana incorporated in my back tattoo.
